Chia Seed Porridge
Here is a low carb porridge that will surprise you with its benefits. Chia seeds are high in omega-fatty acids, protein, fiber. along with fruits and diabetic friendly yet tasty Yakon drops makes this porridge a great way to start your day.
- 1 cup Chia seeds
- 3 cups Coconut Milk or Hemp Milk or your choice of plant based milk
- 2 tbsp Brown Rice or Date Syrup
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Maca Powder
- ¼ cup Blueberries
- ¼ Yakon drops.
- Pinch of Himalayan or Sea Salt
- Yakon drops.
- Sliced banana
- Slivered almonds
- Using a medium mixing bowl, add your Chia seeds, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, Maca powder, blue berries, Yakon drops, syrup and salt. Mix until fully combined. Allow to sit for 5 minutes before adding your toppings.
